Editorial Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-18. This policy applies to every casino profile and review published on betvouch.com.

Who we are and how we are paid

BetVouch is a publication of VerifiedPress (KVK 42028625), a Dutch publishing entity. Our revenue model is the single most important fact a reader should know:

BetVouch does not earn affiliate commission from any casino we list. We do not receive a share of player deposits, losses, or referral fees. We do not run "best of" lists, "top bonus" landing pages, or commission-driven rankings.

Claiming a profile and responding to reviews are free for every casino operator — exactly as on Trustpilot. Our revenue comes from optional subscriptions that unlock advanced operator tools: review widgets, sentiment analytics, AI-assisted reply drafting, dispute-mediation workflows, and (planned) regulator-recognised ADR services. Subscriptions cannot buy a higher rating, removal of negative reviews, preferential ranking, or any change to our editorial conclusions.

This separation between our income and casino performance is the reason we exist.

What we rate, and how much each criterion is worth

Every rated casino on BetVouch is scored against six weighted criteria. The full per-criterion rubric with anchored scoring examples is at /methodology. The weights are fixed and applied identically to every operator.

  • Licensing & regulatory record (25%) — Active licence with a recognised regulator (KSA, MGA, UKGC, GGL, ANJ, AGCC, IBAS, or comparable). Outstanding regulator actions or revoked licences lower the score.
  • Payout speed and friction (20%) — Time from withdrawal request to funds received, measured against the operator's published commitment. Limits, KYC delays, and reversed withdrawals are counted.
  • Bonus fairness (15%) — Wagering requirements, contribution rules, maximum bet during wagering, game restrictions, expiry windows, and clarity of the terms. We compute the realistic value of every advertised bonus before it lands in the review.
  • Customer support (15%) — Response time, resolution rate, channels offered (live chat / email / phone), and language coverage. We open at least one ticket per review.
  • Complaint history (15%) — Patterns and outcomes of player complaints filed against the operator, including those filed through BetVouch's own complaint process.
  • Game library and provider integrity (10%) — Range and quality of titles, presence of certified providers, RNG and live-dealer transparency.

The final star rating is the weighted average. We round to the nearest 0.1 star. We do not adjust scores manually after the calculation.

How we test, step by step

Every full review on BetVouch is based on first-hand testing by a named reviewer. We do not publish reviews based solely on operator-supplied information or scraped data.

  1. Registration — We register a real account from a residential connection in the relevant jurisdiction. We document any onboarding friction (forced phone verification, ID upload at signup, geolocation refusal).
  2. Deposit — We fund the account using at least two of the operator's listed methods (one card, one alternative). We record fees, processing time, and any failed attempts.
  3. Play — We place a minimum number of bets across the categories the operator advertises (slots, live tables, sports if applicable). We retain session logs.
  4. Withdrawal — We initiate a withdrawal for a meaningful balance. We measure time-to-funds against the operator's stated SLA. If KYC is requested at withdrawal, we log how long verification takes.
  5. Support — We open one support ticket per channel offered. We record first-response time, resolution time, and accuracy of the answer.
  6. Bonus walk-through — If the operator runs a welcome bonus, we accept it on a separate test account and walk the wagering requirement to completion (or to the point at which the bonus expires).

The full session log, screenshots, transaction IDs, and support ticket numbers are retained internally for audit. We publish redacted excerpts where useful to the reader.

Who writes and who fact-checks

Every review carries two names: the author who performed the hands-on test, and the reviewer who independently fact-checked the published copy against the underlying logs. The reviewer cannot be the author. Both are listed on the published page with links to their author profiles, biographies, and verifiable professional histories.

Anonymous, AI-generated, or unnamed reviews are not permitted on BetVouch. We do not use generative AI to write review text or invent player experiences. AI is used only for grammar checks and translation of human-authored copy.

Re-review cadence

Every published casino review is re-checked at least once per calendar quarter. Reviews flagged by reader complaints, regulator action, ownership change, or material bonus-term change are re-checked sooner. The "last verified" date is published at the top of every review and is updated only after a real re-check.

How player reviews are handled

Player reviews are submitted by registered BetVouch users. We do not aggregate or republish reviews from other websites. To submit a review you must be logged in and pass our verification checks; we record signal-of-experience evidence where you provide it (transaction ID, screenshot, deposit confirmation).

Reviews are not removed because they are negative. Reviews can be removed only when they violate our published moderation policy: personal attacks, doxxing, off-topic content, demonstrably false factual claims, content submitted on behalf of another party, or content prohibited by law. Every removal is logged. Operators do not have the ability to remove reviews of their own venue. Operators with a paid subscription can publicly respond to reviews; they cannot edit, hide, or delete them.

We never offer rewards, payment, or future consideration conditioned on review sentiment. We do not contact our users to request specific star ratings.

Complaint mediation

BetVouch operates a free complaint-mediation service for any player who has been unable to resolve a dispute directly with a casino. We open a case file, contact the operator on the player's behalf, and document the response. Outcomes — resolved, partially resolved, refused, or unresponsive — are recorded on the operator's BetVouch profile and counted toward the "complaint history" weight in our ratings. Players retain the right to escalate to the relevant regulator or ADR body, and we provide direct links.

Licensing context on operator profiles

BetVouch is a review platform, not a casino. We do not promote, recommend, or direct players to specific operators. Every operator profile lists the regulator and licence number we have verified, along with any outstanding regulator actions on record. Whether a given operator is licensed in a given player's country is information the player must check; we surface the licence data we have, with sources, and we score operators on regulatory standing as one of our six rating criteria.

Conflict of interest

BetVouch reviewers do not hold equity, employment, consulting relationships, or undisclosed paid arrangements with any casino operator listed on the platform. If an operator becomes a paid subscriber to claim its profile, that fact is displayed on the operator's profile page and does not influence the editorial review. Personal gambling accounts held by reviewers on operators we cover are disclosed on the reviewer's profile.

Corrections

We get things wrong. When we do, we correct the published page, add a dated note at the bottom describing what changed, and log the correction in our public corrections register. Significant factual corrections are also acknowledged at the top of the page for thirty days.

To report an inaccuracy, email editorial@betvouch.com with the page URL, the specific claim you believe is incorrect, and any evidence you can share. We aim to acknowledge within two business days and resolve within ten.
